Major Game Update 8.50

Oid you guess the right date of the summer update? Indeed, in the poll we are referring to almost 20% of the participants were on the right track and chose today's July 1st, 2009.

Now let us provide an overview of all the main changes and improvements that are part of this year's summer update. Lean back and enjoy the tour!
First of all, the legendary city of Carlin has undergone a fundamental revamp. It is now a true symbol of female elegance and has regained its medieval and dignified charm. The Carlin castle shines again in all its glory, so does Edron's castle which has been renovated together with several guildhalls and houses in and around Edron and Thais. Stop by as soon as your journey takes you past these cities. With their renewed looks they are really worth a visit.

Plenty of new quests are available for brave Tibian souls. Those who just started out their adventurer career are advised to do the Pilgrimage of Ashes, a guided round trip tour to meet five of the famous givers of blessings. Others might be interested in helping Eclesius, the scatterbrained sorcerer, with some of his most important tasks. He pays well and also rewards his helpers with some precious experience.
The more experienced adventurers can prove themselves by retrieving long lost artefacts of golem technology, and thereby facing the dangerous Shadows of Yalahar. Furthermore, Rapanaio, the dwarf, has some very weird stories to tell. Will you be courageous enough to set a foot on the Isle of Evil?

Moreover, a couple of new tasks are being offered by some elected citizens. They are looking for adventurers who help them fight threatening monster hordes that roam the lands. But be careful: you might take the risk to face the monsters' powerful bosses during your hunt!

Two new events are going to take place this year. In August, Jean Pierre, a true chef, is ready to share his most secret recipes with you. With his help you will be able to prepare some really delicate dishes which have quite amazing effects for the ones who eat them. Later, in November, the Lightbearer Event will take place, a huge spectacle that requires many people to actually work together. Your mission is to keep ten lights which are scattered throughout Tibia burning for five days. If you fail, evil will break loose and threaten Tibia's inhabitants.

Some very important modifications were made concerning the PvP system on regular PvP worlds. We removed the Tibia rule called "Player Killing", which was formerly rule number 5. Instead of banishing accounts for excessive unjustified player killing, we introduce the black skull which is a character-based ingame punishment. Characters that are marked with a black skull are neither able to target unmarked characters nor to use aggressive area spells or runes.
Furthermore, the kill count has been changed: the last 20 damage dealers who have done damage within the last 60 seconds before the death of a character are now being counted as killers and get displayed and linked on the character information page of the victim.
Other modifications were made with regards to protection zones: players who defend themselves from the attacks of other players do not get a protection zone block anymore. Having a protection zone block is being displayed by a new symbol: two crossed red blades, similar to the logout block symbol. Another new symbol is the white dove, signalising that you are standing within a protection zone.

Eternal protection to those who tie the knot cannot be guaranteed, though. However, the bond of life has become a reality now in Tibia, and all the best shall happen to the ones who decide to spend their Tibian lifes together. In Venore, you can buy beautiful wedding outfits and rings. With the right items at hand, either travel to Thais, Ab'Dendriel or Kazordoon to celebrate a wonderful marriage ceremony with your sweetheart. After that, take your time and enjoy an unforgettable and well-deserved honeymoon on the romantic island of Meluna.
Fearless hunters find new hunting grounds near Beregar and Liberty Bay, as well as some newly discovered amazing waterfalls in Tiquanda's underground areas. In the North of Darashia vicious beasts burn the grounds of a foremost hidden dungeon, so be aware of their breath of fire. Treasure Island, Demona, the Ankrahmun tombs and many more areas also have a new and spiced up look, so make sure to pay them a visit.

The monster balancing has been improved by changing the loot, behaviour, and strength of several Tibian creatures like, for example, hellspawns, water elementals, wisps, sea serpents, werewolves, fire devils, gargoyles, goblins, and many more. Medusa is a brandnew and powerful monster which has been unleashed with the summer update. Be careful if you come across a wild looking creature whose hair style is made of snakes.

Furthermore, a dozen new bosses have settled down in Tibia, for example Fahim the Wise, Esmeralda, The Many, or The Noxious Spawn. For others, like Demodras or The Horned Fox, alternative raid locations have been added that make them more difficult to find.

Some new equipment is also part of this update. Following the community's will we now introduce the demon backpack, crown backpack, and moon backpack. Several new amulets protect you from different kinds of elemental damage, and, finally, the mysterious packages which you receive in the secret service quest can now be opened. They contain quite interesting tools which might be useful in some special occasions.

Moreover, Rashid and some other NPCs are now willing to buy many more items from you. Stop by and ask them for a trade if you want to know more about it.

Last but not least, we added a new channel to the chat console which displays some of the messages that were formerly shown in the default channel. The server log channel keeps you updated with damage and loot messages, among others. Loot messages are displayed in green colour in order to set them apart from the rest of the channel information.

When you log into the game after our service is back online, your client will update itself automatically. Alternatively, you can download the new Tibia client 8.5.

Small Reminder-Tibia news

With yesterday's patch, the account login was revised and players now have to log in with their account name and password. Please keep in mind that if you have changed your account name, the login only works with the new Tibia client version 8.3.! Some players have changed their account name and tried to log in without having applied the patch before. Hence, they received an error message and cannot patch the old client anymore. To be able to log in with their new account name, those players have to download and install the new client from our website.

So please keep in mind that you should first apply the patch or download and install the new client before you use a new account name to log in.

We would also like to remind you that you should never give your account name and password to anybody. If you should ever need the help of Tibia's customer support, you can give them the name of one of your characters. Another simple and good protection is to avoid easy-to-guess account names such as your character name or real life name.

Tibia is a free online role playing game, but as you know, it is possible to pay for extra premium features, such as renting houses, access to cool areas, further spells, and many more.

We are happy to announce that on Wednesday, September 24, our new payment system will be greatly extended. It will be available in over seventy further countries. Just to name a few, players from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Turkey, Uruguay and Venezuela will then be able to set up subscriptions by credit card. If you use a subscription, premium time will be added to your account automatically in due time, which means that you do not have to worry anymore about losing your house or having your guild disbanded just because your premium time has run out. Of course, players from these countries can also order single premium time periods from Wednesday on, for 30 and 90 days, using a credit card to upgrade their accounts to premium status.

In addition to this, players from the following countries will also be able to use national bank transfers to order single premium time periods for 90, 180 and 360 days: Chile, Hong Kong, Japan and Turkey.
If you live in one of these countries, you will be able to transfer the money for your premium time to a bank in your country from Wednesday on. You will not have to pay an extra fee for international bank transfers any longer. Further, the whole process will take less time than international bank transfers via element 5. Method

Mission one: The Cockroach Plage:
In this part you must help Santiago with a cockroach plage he has, he will ask you to get equipped with an armor from a chest on his room and with a club downstairs. Then you must go to his cellar and kill 3 cockroaches and collect 3 cockroach legs. When you are done, Report to Santiago who will reward you with 100 experience points.

Mission two: Collecting Wood:
Now talk to Zirella, she will tell you that she needs wood for her fire. You must use a Dead Tree nearby so a branch will be dropped under you, now you must move it towards her cart where another branch is. When you put it on it green sparks will appear. Talk to Zirella again. She will allow you to go inside her house and take a shovel from a chest.

You must now use the shovel to open a loose stone pile to the east. After you go down, you must get the rope from a Box and use it to get out.

Mission Three: A Hungry Tailor:
Now talk to Carlos, he will show you how to change your outfit and then ask you for some meat from nearby Rabbits or Deer. After you sell him some meat he will ask you to cross the bridge to Rookgard.

Ornamented Shield Quest/Spoiler

Also known as: Might Ring Quest

Reward: bag with Ornamented Shield, Key 3702, Spike Sword, Dragon Necklace, Might Ring, Krendorak's Journal, Time Ring, Garlic Necklace, 5 Platinum Coins, Inkwell.

Location: Plains of Havoc Dragon Cave

Level required:	0
Premium required:	no
Be prepared to face:	Dragons, Dragon Lords, Fire Devil and Demodras (rare spawn).
Legend:	The last remaining warrior of the Nightmare Knights was said to have been mortally wounded by dragons and killed by a fire devil below Plains of Havoc.

Go into the Plains of Havoc and head down a hidden hole in this area: (here).

On the first level down, you will fight a single dragon. Proceed down the stairs.

On the 2nd level down, 2 dragons are present, but it is possible to fight them one at a time if you block one into the narrow passageway. Go down the stairs.

The 3rd level down has a long corridor heading south, followed by an open room with many treasures, including daily spawns of a Small Diamond, Small Emerald, Small Amethyst, Bow, Steel Helmet, Talon, and Plate Armor, as well as 2 Dragon Lords and several Dragons. Kill the monsters with caution, using the corridor to lure them one at a time, if need be. You will need Destroy Field runes to collect some of the treasures in this room, as they are covered by several fire fields.

Use a pick 2 squares east of a rock near the center of the room. Down the hole there is a Fire Devil and a number of fire fields. Pass them and use another destroy field rune on the fire field in the north-east corner. You will see a body peeking out from underneath it. The Ornamented Shield is inside the dead body along with some other items.

Next, rope yourself back up the hole too the main room. You will see stalagmites in the southwest corner blocking a rope hole. To remove these stalagmites, have a partner stand on a spot in the northwest corner of this room. The spot is the one directly southwest of a fire field with a wristwatch beneath it. Once the stalagmites have been removed, your partner may walk behind them and grab the reward chest, containing red bag with a Time Ring, 5 platinum pieces, a Garlic Necklace, and some other items inside of it.

Use the rope hole to go up if the stalagmites reappear, and take the sewer grate on the far north side down, back into the main room.

Method

Talk to Caliph Kazzan in Darashia (in the castle, on the first floor) and ask about a mission. He will tell you to offer an appeasement treaty to the Djinn races.

Before you go do your mission, you need to talk to Melchior a wandering NPC that lives in Ankrahmun. Ask him about "greeting" and you will be ready to go offer the peacy treaty to the djinn.

You may talk to the djinns in any order, none of them will accept.

Head to either the Blue Djinn Fortress or the Green Djinn Fortress and talk to the NPC there and ask about a mission. Say Kazzan sent you, and say he wants an appeasement.

After doing this, head to the other Djinn Fortress and do the same thing with the NPC there.

Return to Kazzan to collect your reward.

Go to Muriel in Thais Sorcerer guild. Ask him about a quest. He will give you an Ectoplasm Container for you to dig a well-preserved human body in the dungeon north on Thais in the so-called Cursed Bone Pit.

Follow the maps to the Cursed Bone Pit.

Clear the floor from the bodies and dig until you find a humanoid. Use the ectoplasm container on it to get a bone.

Go back to Muriel to get your reward.

The Hunt for the Sea Serpent Quest/Spoiler

Method

Find Captain Haba in Svargrond, he is on first floor of the ship, south of the boat that transports people between cities. Ask him for a mission. He will ask you to bring him 5 Fish, 5 Green Perches, 5 Northern Pikes and 5 Rainbow Trouts. Once you deliver them, you will be able to sail to open sea, just say hunt.
He transports you to the open sea (you will notice because the ship is different, but the captain is the same). There, say trade and buy around 35 Baits. After that, go to the left side of the boat, and use one bait on the Crane. Then, go to the -1 floor of the boat and enter the teleport, now you will be transported to the top of the mast, here you will find a Telescope.
Now, use the telescope and you will receive a message. After the first message is shown, use it again. After the second message you have to go back to Captain Haba and tell him the exact location. (For the keywords, see below this text)
Then use a new bait on the Crane and use the telescope again.

This is what you will see every time, and what you should say to Captain Haba.

Make sure you are wearing your Helmet of the Deep. Now go and explore. Note that after entering the teleport there are only Blood Crabs. To find Sea Serpents you have to use Levitate or parcels to go down. Pots and Ice Cubes work better, since monsters cannot push them.

Method

Go to Henricus (1 floor down here) and ask him for a mission. He will ask you if you want to join The Inquisition. Say yes and ask for a mission again.
Mission 1: Interrogation

Your mission is to investigate the 4 guards in Thais regarding the Heretic behavior. Tim, Kulag, Grof, Miles and Walter are their names. If you do well you see a holy sprite on you.
Grof, The Guard

* After that ask him what the authorities can do about it.

Mission 2: Eclipse

Henricus tells you to get the Witches Gremoire, he sends you to Femor Hills where you can fly to the Witches' mountain, say Eclipse to Uzon and he will take you there.

Beware here, because you can find up to 7 Witches, a Ghoul and a Dark Magician. Also some Cats will be there to annoy you.
It's recommended to use Stoneshower runes here since the Witches are weak to them.

Use the vial of holy water that he gives you on the big cauldron (some kind of an explosion will appear on the cauldron) and open the chest to your left, then go back to Henricus.

Henricus: I've arranged a flying carpet that will bring you to their hideout. Travel to Femor Hills and tell the carpet pilot the codeword 'eclipse' ... Henricus: He'll bring you to your destination. At their meeting place, you'll find a cauldron in which they cook some forbidden brew ... Henricus: Use this vial of holy water to destroy the brew. Also steal their grimoire and bring it to me.
Mission 3: Vampire Hunt

* First part of your mission is to locate the Dwarfish Vampire Hunter, Storkus [here].
* Once you found him, he wants 20 Vampire Dusts.
* Thirdly, he wants you to kill a vampire lord The Count in Green Claw Swamp. Bring his ring as proof to Storkus, the Lord is near Blood Herb Quest [here].

NOTE: When you go down the hole near the Giant Spider, you`ll see a buried coffin surrounded by 3 counters. You need to open the conffin to make The Count spawn. There is a way to make the thing easier, putting 1 Garlic Necklace on each counter before opening the coffing, then, when the count spawns, he will be The Weakened Count, making your work much easier.
Mission 4: The Haunted Ruin

Henricus will give you a Vial.

Go to Liberty Bay and use the Vial on an old house. ( The house is near "Sugar Street 3b". It's on North-West of town but not out of it!). Use the vial on the most North-West corner! Here:

After using the Vial one Pirate Ghost will appear and the door will close. Kill it if you want to and after around 10 Seconds the door will open.

Get back to Thais and report your mission to Henricus.
Mission 5: Essential Gathering

Get 20 Demonic Essence and ask Henricus to a mission. He wants 20 Demonic Essence, just give them and Finally you'll get Demon Hunter Outfit without addons.
Mission 6: The Demon Ungreez

* Head to Edron Hero Cave and go down a few levels. [here]
* The demon takes around 5-15 minutes to respawn, depending on how many that are online on the server, and each person must kill him once.

Mission 7: The Shadow Nexus

* For this part, you must have touched at least one throne in the Pits of Inferno Quest.
* This is the hardest part of the quest. You WILL need several level 200+ and a basic team of 15 to 20 level 150+.
* If you die or step out of a teleport, you can always go back through the teleporters in the main teleport room.

In order to do this mission, you must go to the Demon Forge. The Demon Forge is located south of the Vampire Shield Quest. You will find a level door for level 100 and a quest door so you can only come in after you have reported killing Ungreez.

After entering the teleport you will encounter several (0-3 at the teleport, about 8 in the whole area) Hellfire Fighters, Fire Devils and Fire Elementals. Continue south to reach the main teleport room.
Demon Forge

* You must defeat the bosses in this order.
* If you die before going into the teleport after killing the demon boss, you will have to do his throne all over again.
* You can resume where you left off by going into the teleport of the next unfinished throne.
* You will not receive any notification, nor will anything appear in the Quest Log after every throne. You must keep track of the thrones done.

The Dark Path: Ushuriel

To start the thrones, you don't need to go into any teleport, simply go up the stairs to the west.

You will be in a path with many Hellfire Fighters and Massive Fire Elementals. Continue west and go up the stairs.

Now, you will need to cross a great hall filled with Gargoyles, Behemoths and Juggernauts. Be careful when luring as upwards to 4 Juggernauts may come at the same time.

When you reach the end of the hall, you will find a teleport. Go through this teleport to face Ushuriel.

Ushuriel is not extremely strong, but still quite formidable. Altough the towers are pretty harmful, they can not see invisible people. Just use a Stealth Ring or the invisible spell to prevent getting hit and kill Ushuriel with icicles.

'After' killing Ushuriel, go through the teleport you came from to be teleported to the next throne. Do not walk into the teleport and then back out.

Note, it is OK and actually advisable to go through the teleport in the next throne as soon as you are through. This way, you are teleported back to the main teleport room and have time to resupply and coordinate the plan.
The Crystal Caves: Zugurosh

You will be instantly greeted by several Crystal Spiders, Spectres and Ice Golems. Head to the east as far as you can. When you reach a wall, go south and then west to eventually find a stair. Careful, because in the way you will encounter the mentioned creatures as well as Hands of Cursed Fate.

Go up the stairs to find yourself in the 'The Mirror Maze of Madness'. All the Phantasms you encounter here will be fakes, meaning, only 65 HP. You will, however, encounter a fair amount of Nightmares and Giant Spiders.

The direction you must take is the following: East, up the stairs, west then south, down the stairs, south then right, down the stairs, east, up the stairs, north then west, down the stairs, south then east, up the stairs, then head straight to find a teleport.

Go through this teleport to be in a undersea cave passage. You will walk slowly and be drowned just like any other submarine location. Here you will encounter Massive Water Elementals, Quara Pinchers, Quara Predators and Quara Hydromancers (beware of their paralyze).

The path is straight, and when you reach the end, you'll be at a teleport. Do not walk into the teleport and then back out.

Now you may finally face Zugurosh. He is immune or strong against everything except Fire and Ice spells. The towers only curse you, but do not do damage directly. The blocker should lure the demon boss away from the teleport and shooters should possibly summon Fire Elementals to speed up killing.

Once he is dead, go through the teleport to be teleported to the next throne. Since you will be swarmed by monsters, it is extremely recommended you go through and then back through the teleport again to reorganize.
The Blood Halls: Madareth

Here you will face a great number of Dark Torturers, Betrayed Wraiths, Lost Souls and Hand of Cursed Fate. Kill the Dark Torturers first.

Keep going north and west to the center of the room to find stairs. Up these stairs is an obscene amount of the same previously mentioned creatures. At least two very high level knights (190+) must try to go up the stairs and to corners with the monsters. Immediately, sio'ers must go up and sio the blockers or just let a mage (150+) stair jump with Any Ue (Recommended Rage of the skies or Eternal Winter).

Go west, then south and you will find another stairs. You can use the same tatic of previous stairs here. Go east, then north and you will find a teleport.

Going through this teleport and you will be in a room with several Juggernauts, Hellfire Fighters, Plaguesmiths, Furies and Destroyers. Shooters must Magic Wall to make a barrier or many monsters will come at same time.

After kill all monsters, go to the southeast corner of the room and you will find the teleport to Madareth's Ward. Sorcerers and Druids can use Icicle Runes and Paladins can use Assassin Stars and Divine Missiles to kill Madareth.

Once he is dead, go through the teleport to be teleported to the next throne.
The Vats: Latrivan & Golgordan

The vats contains mostly Son of Verminors, Plaguesmiths, Blightwalkers, Defilers, and such, spread across the area.

After entering the Vats precede to the east, while also going slightly north, once you reach the far wall you will find a teleport.

(Follow the blue line and the teleport is at the white cross)

The teleport leads to the battlefield which contains Furys, Hellhounds, Destroyers, Blightwalkers, Hand of Cursed Fates, Hellfire Fighters, Nightmares, Dark Torturers, and some Juggernauts. Follow the blue line on the following map to the portal leading to the bosses.

The Arcanum: Annihilon

The Aracnum is a place with Warlocks, Lichs, Hand of Cursed Fates, Braindeaths, Vampires, Undead Dragons, Efreets, Diabolic Imps, and possibly more. Follow the blue line in the following picture to lead through the 3 rooms before you enter the Soul Wells.

The Hive: Hellgorak

Comming soon. Kill as fast as you can.
The Shadow Nexus

Do not use the teleport to return to the retreat, as there is no other way back to the Shadow Nexus other than to return to Hellgorak.

The final room consists mostly of Furys, Juggernauts, Demons, Undead Dragons and Hellhounds. Many blockers are needed here to block the attacks of the Demons which are constantly spawned by Magic Pillars. It is a waste of supplies to kill these creatures as the tower spawns them infinately, as soon as one dies it is replaced. A strategy to avoid these Magic Pillars summoning creatures is to use field runes around them to prevent them having space to spawn creatures (alternately on non-pvp parcels can be used). Each Magic Pillar spawns 1 Demon. The best way is to throw fire bombs everywhere so pillars can't summon demons. There are a total of 5 of the Magic Pillars. Their locations are shown in the picture below they have blue circles around them, the Shadow Nexus is the two small red dots twords the center of the room.

Whilst blockers are holding these creatures, players should approach the magicwall in the centre of the chamber, a magicwall [see picture below].

Players should:

* Use the vial on the magicwall to electrify it.
* Use the vial when the wall changes from electric to a burned out Fire Field ontop.
* The magic wall returns to the energy stage, and after 20 seconds goes back to a burned out Fire Field ontop.
* Use the vial again on the magicwall, and again it returns to the electric stage.
* The magic wall returns to the energy stage, and after 20 seconds goes back to a burned out Fire Field ontop.
* Use the vial a 3rd time on the magicwall.
* The magicwall becomes fully ignited with a full Fire Field ontop.

From here, the player must use the vial one more time to complete their mission.

The full Fire Field lasts for around 10 seconds, and if any player can reach the full Fire Field and use their vial on it, they have instantly completed the mission. A maximum of 4-5 people can complete the mission per full Fire Field before it resets to the original position, and the aforementioned steps must be repeated.

A further step has been reached in the development of the new Tibia payment system. A new payment method is available now to buy premium time for your favourite MMORPG Tibia.

In addition to credit card payments, players from most European countries will be able to buy premium time by bank transfer from now on. In contrast to bank transfers via element 5, you will be able to transfer the money to a bank in your country. This way you will not have to pay an extra fee for international bank transfers any longer. Also, as the bank transfers will be made to a national bank, the whole process will take less time than bank transfers via element 5.
By bank transfer, you can order single premium time periods for 90, 180 and 360 days. Subscriptions cannot be paid by bank transfer. Note that the Tibia payment system is only available for orders from your own account.

Minor Patches Released

After the release of the summer update, many players sent us feedback about the new features and also reported game errors. We have collected and analysed all of your response. In the last 3 days, we have released minor patches to adjust the game according to your proposals and reports.

Many players made suggestions for improvements concerning Tibia creatures. As many newcomers were literally run over by the amount of cockroaches in Santiago's cellar, we have revised the spawn rate there. The loot of wyrms and sea serpents has been changed, so a hunting trip there is surely worthwhile. Further, the drop rate of elemental soils in the elemental spheres has been raised. As massive earth elementals are rather strong, they have been removed from the bog raider spawn in Edron. Also, the number of earth elementals in the Edron cave has been reduced. Moreover, it is a somewhat easier now to fight earth elementals, massive earth elementals as well as slick and roaring water elementals. Finally, quara hydromancers and their scouts do not summon water elementals any longer.

Also several inhabitants of Tibia needed some tuning. Raffael is selling arrows at the correct price now, Janz has once more added the ice statues to his range of goods, and Nah'Bob also buys enchanted versions of weapons now. Furthermore, an error in the mage addon quest has been fixed. All those of you who have finished this quest already but do not have the correct entry in their quest log, can talk to Lynda or Angelina to have this quest shown as completed.

There have also been suggestion for area improvements to prevent luring. For this reason ramps have been added to the amazon bridge, and the rope spot in the Count's room has been exchanged with a ramp.

Characters with the address Nobility Quarter 2 in Kazordoon can now decorate their northern wall. Players that have not paid their tickets for Kazordoon's unique transportation system, will now get a correct error message if they try to hop into one of those comfortable ore wagons. All players that have obtained the honourable title of a warhero will now receive the correct amount of experience points for all missions. Finally, we have fixed several small map bugs.

UPDATE-Great New Features and Numerous New Items

As we have already announced in our first teaser, a second feature will be introduced concerning the interaction with NPCs. Trading items with NPCs will be much more comfortable in the future. Whenever you ask an NPC for a trade, a new window will open up on the right side of the adventure screen. By pressing either Sell or Buy, you can quickly see which items you can sell to or buy from an NPC. If you select an item, also its graphic will be displayed. By clicking on the graphic, you will gain information on this item. The price is quoted behind an item. By using the slide bar, you can comfortably select how many of an item you would like to buy or sell. The selected amount, the price for the selected number of items, and the money you have in your inventory are shown below the slide bar. Finally, press Ok to confirm the trade. If you do not have enough money, space or capacity, a warning message will be displayed and the trade fails. Simply lower the amount of items on the slide bar until you meet all conditions to complete the trade. This way you do not have to worry anymore that you are suddenly standing on a pile of ham because you are not strong enough to carry all.

Do you enjoy baking? Then surprise your loved ones with a delicious chocolate cake or a tray of tasty cookies. Just imagine a cold winter day - what could be cosier than eating some freshly baked cookies in front of your brand-new chimney.
For all those who prefer some healthier food, we have added some fruit and vegetables to the assortment of several food sellers. From now on you can spice up your diet with potatoes, cucumbers, onions, jalapeño peppers, beetroots, plums, raspberries and lemons.
But there are more traders that have added new products. Just in time for the bathing season, waterballs are available now. Lily in Rookgaard offers antidote and small health potions for our youngest adventurers.

Moreover, there will be countless new items. We have designed a great number of new armors. Most of them are restricted to one or two vocations and require a certain level. On the other hand, they have various additional abilities like raising a skill or giving extra protection against a certain damage type.
Not only armors, also new weapons will enrich your Tibia adventures. Paladins will be particularly happy about several new bows and crossbows, varying in their attack range, attack power and their hit chance. Knights can equip themselves with mighty new swords, axes and clubs.
Druid and sorcerers can enjoy new rods and wands which differ in their damage type. Moreover, several new spellbooks will be added. They are not only useful for remembering spells, but their magical powers also shield sorcerers and druids from attacks. In addition, some of them have the power to raise a druid's or sorcerer's magic level.
Finally, all those who like to show off with new clothes are invited to join the inquisition to earn the honourable outfit of a demon hunter.

To help new players get started in Tibia, we will introduce two tutorials with the launch of the summer update. Moreover, as the long texts of the current hints were rather inconvenient, they will be replaced by illustrated tutorial hints.

All newly created characters will no longer wake up in Cipfried's temple, but on a small island south of the present Rookgaard. From now on, Santiago will be the first NPC new players meet when starting their great adventure in Tibia. Here, characters receive first equipment and learn such basic but important things like opening a box, putting on equipment, fighting and looting creatures, or regaining health. A bit further, characters meet Zirella who needs help with collecting wood. She will teach new players how to push things. Also, you can earn your first shovel there. Finally, Carlos will explain how to change your outfit and how to sell items to NPCs. Provided with first experience points, equipment and basic knowledge about Tibia's game mechanics, characters are well prepared for their first steps in Rookgaard now. For experienced players, however, it will also be possible to skip the tutorial.

The second tutorial should help players to select a vocation. At level 8, characters should leave Rookgaard by talking to the oracle. Instead of bringing you to a city of your choice, the oracle will send you to the Island of Destiny now. Ambassadors of each vocation will give you plenty of information about the advantages and drawbacks of being a knight, paladin, sorcerer or druid. Once you have joined a vocation, you will have access to the attached cellar in which you get new equipment provided you have not passed level 8 yet. They have interesting information about their city, also they can mark places of interest on a character's automap, and they even escort characters below level 10 to the depot.

In today's teaser, we want to introduce you to some of the numerous new quests that will be implemented with Tibia's summer update.

As some of you have already assumed, it will indeed be necessary to complete a quest if you want to fight the evil sea serpent. Captain Haba in Svargrond has been hunting this malicious creature for many, many years. He would surely appreciate the help of some fearless adventurer. However, also other inhabitants have trouble with some nasty creatures. Jerom has just moved here, and he is already ruined. A gruesome troll has destroyed the house in which he wanted to open up his business. Now his future seems black. Maybe you can help him?
What is more, the orcs arm for war. Every brave soldier is needed to defend our realm against those evil green skins. Defend our outposts, help to uphold our lines of defence, spy out their war plans, and destroy their war constructions like these impressive siege towers.

Also the thieves guild is looking for new members. Sneaky and cunning characters are invited to learn the dubious business of being a swindler and trickster. Be warned, though, a criminal career is not only disapproved by many, it also requires much skill and talent if you do not want to end up in one of the city jails.
There are also a few new challenges for very experienced fighters. In one of them you will have to face some of the mightiest minions that serve the Ruthless Seven. Still, this is not all that the Ruthless Seven have brewed to destroy our beloved world. They have sent an extremely sinister demonic being to the main continent which can only be destroyed by the most courageous, smartest and strongest fighters.

A failed experiment has caused alarm in Edron's magic academy. Alverus had an unexpected encounter with some deathly cold creature that turned him into a block of ice in the twinkling of an eye. Now Arkulius needs your help to save his friend and colleague. After many nights and days of research, Arkulius seems to have found a solution. Only the power of the combined four elements, fire, ice, energy and earth, each representing a different vocation, can revive Alverus from his freezing jail. Teamwork is the key to success for this tricky quest.

Moreover, several new raids and numerous boss monsters have been added which will surely cause some excitement in the game. Finally, we have made a small change in our reward system. As your character also gathers knowledge when fulfilling tricky and challenging quests, there will be a few occasions in which you can gain experience points, too. This will be by no means a new way to gather levels, but rather an additional small bonus.

June - the Month of Flowers

Have you stumbled across seeds during your Tibia adventures lately? Now the time has come where they might come in handy. This month, the dryad Rosemarie is residing in a little hut, south of Port Hope. Like most dryads, she has dedicated her life to the protection of plants. For this reason, she is always looking for rare seeds. In addition, she is very keen about sharing the beauty of plants with others. Therefore, she has a special offer for you. If you give her some of the seeds that you have found during your hunts, she will give you a flowerpot containing a seedling. Use a watering can, available in Tibia's most popular garden centre, to water it regularly. Take good care of your plant and it will grow into a beautiful flower after some time.

However, Rosemarie is not the only dryad that is visiting Tibia this month. Unfortunately, not all of her dryad sisters are as friendly and peaceful as Rosemarie. Some of them are rather aggressive on their mission to protect the life of all plants. So better beware if you run across one of those wild dryads these days.

New DDoS Attacks

Currently, players on the German game servers experience connection problems caused by massive DDoS attacks. Due to the strength of the current attacks, the measures, which have been very effective against previous DDoS attacks, have been insufficient this time. Of course we work hard to improve the situation as quickly as possible.
Also, the Tibia website was offline for several hours due to these attacks. We have already successfully taken countermeasures to make sure the Tibia website can be reached normally again.

We deeply regret the current situation. We understand that many of you are very disappointed about these problems, and we concentrate all our efforts on providing a trouble-free gaming experience for all our players as quickly as possible.

Revamped Areas and New Hunting Grounds

Even though there will be no new area this time, several existing areas will appear in a new look after the summer update. Premium adventurers should definitely visit Darashia which has been greatly rebuilt by Tibia's busy craftsmen. New walls, beautiful ornaments, carriages, and streets covered with golden sand, all add to the oriental look of the desert city. The surrounding desert was spiced up with dunes and skeletal remains. But also other areas have been embellished, for example Femor Hills and the amazon camp appear in a new look.

Most remarkably, however, Kazordoon has been revised. Many graphical elements have been added. Precious wall decorations, new statues, colourful crystals, smithy constructions and countless other things give the dwarven city a new and much more fitting look.

Additionally, a new transportation system allows you to move around much more quickly in Kazordoon. Ore wagons will serve the 5 most important locations: depot, shopping quarter, temple, steam boat and main gate. Simply hop in the correct wagon and it will bring you to the destination of your choice.

What is more, we have added several new hunting grounds. To mention just a few, orc land offers much more space to hunt. The amazon camp has not only been embellished, but also the hunting ground there has been significantly enlarged. Dwarven caves have been added on Cormaya and in Tiquanda. Thais offers a new dungeon in which you can collect the popular bat wings. Also, a complete new underwater area has been added. Rumour has it that even an evil sea serpent is dwelling there. Be careful whenever you dare to enter this area or you might end up as a tasty treat for this nasty creature.

Please note: As Kazordoon and Darashia have been largely rebuilt, it will be necessary to empty all houses of these two cities with the summer update. All items will either be moved automatically to the depot to which the house belongs or can be removed by the house owner manually. There are still a few weeks left until the update will be launched. Still, if you are planning to redecorate your house on a grand scale, you are better advised to wait until the update is here.

Never Accept Premium Time from Strangers

Over the last few months, large numbers of fraudulent payments have been cancelled. Most of these payments were made for other players. The results for the affected players are serious as their accounts are blocked until the unpaid premium time is covered by a new payment. Even worse, every payment cancellation is recorded. Accounts on which there are too many payment cancellations will be deleted!

Because of the risks involved, we would like to remind those of you who accept payments by others that they should be extremely careful. If you rely on other people to pay premium time for you, make sure you only ask relatives or very close friends to do it. Above all, never accept premium time by people you do not know well! Remember that once you have accepted a payment, the responsibility for it is yours. If it is cancelled, your account will bear the consequences!

Method

You can collect the items above before you begin the quest. To save time, you are advised to collect the items before you talk to the npc
- Collect Ape Furs from Apes
Visit Simon the Beggar south of Fibula (here) and ask him about his "outfit". He will tell you he can make a magic potion to make your beard grow, but it will take 100 ape furs and 20,000 gp.
Give him the items and money
Once you have given the 100 ape furs and 20,000 gp, proceed to Simon and say "Hi" followed by "Addon". He will sprinkle the magic potion on you and from this point wait at least 120 real hours for the potion to "take effect". 120 real hours is equal to 5 real days.
Return to Simon the Beggar and mention the "addon". He will tell you how wonderful your beard looks, and you will be able to select the addon.

Talk to Simon the Beggar south of Fibula and ask him about his "staff"
He will tell you that you cannot have his staff, but that he will give you this staff if you retrieve his lost "favorite staff"
Go to the Hero Cave north of Edron and follow path to the main hunting level where Demons can be accessed:

Go south just a little way from the hole on this level and go into the room on your right. (Room on left is to Triple UH Rune Quest.) Down the stairs two levels is the final room where you can retrieve his lost staff. There are Monks, Stone Golems, and Priestesses in these rooms.

Return the staff to Simon, and he will give you his current staff as an addon for you.

Method

First Mission, Monday

Your current mission for becoming a recognized trader is to bring the traveling salesman Rashid a Deer Trophy while he's in Svargrond, at Dankwart's tavern (Here on Tibia Earth). After that you must wait until the next day to proceed his missions.

Second Mission, Tuesday

For this mission you'll need some spare cash to travel, and also a minimum of 600 of capacity to carry a heavy package.

Rashid will be in Liberty Bay on Tuesday, in Lyonel's tavern just west from the depot, (Here on Tibia Earth). He'll ask you to get him a package from Willard, on Edron. Accept the mission and go to Edron. Willard is the weapon dealer on Edron, find him and ask him package for Rashid. He'll tell you that you must get the package in Outlaw Camp with Snake Eye (Here on Tibia Earth).

Ask Snake Eye package for Rashid and he'll let you open the flashing door. Get the package and deliver to Rashid in Liberty Bay. After that you must wait another day to proceed.

Third Mission, Wednesday

Rashid will be in Port Hope on Wednesdays, in Clyde's tavern, west from the depot (here).

Ask Rashid for a mission and he'll ask you to buy a scarab cheese from Miraia on Darashia. Travel to Darashia and buy the cheese from Miraia for 100 gps. You must deliver the cheese fast to Rashid, because after 30 minutes it turns into a moldy cheese. Also, beware that you can eat the cheese. If you lose the cheese somehow, you can buy another one from Miraia. You cannot use boats, so you must make your way to Port Hope on foot. If you send the cheese by parcel it won't be accepted by Rashid. After the delivery, you'll finish his mission for now. Wait until tomorrow.

Fourth Mission, Thursday

Rashid will be in Ankrahmun on Thursdays, in Arito's tavern, one floor above the post office.

Talk to Rashid, and he'll ask you to buy him a fine vase. You'll need 1,000 gps to buy one. Travel to Ab'Dendriel and find Briasol and buy the vase from him. Note that this vase is very fragile. You must not touch it (must not move it on your backpack). Before buying, be sure to have a empty slot on your backpack or else it falls on the ground. In which case you won't be able to move it to your backpack (it will break) and you have to buy another vase. Just go back to Rashid and deliver the vase to him. Wait until tomorrow to proceed.

Fifth Mission, Friday

Rashid will be in Darashia on Fridays, in Miraia's tavern.

This time, he'll ask you to use your trading skills to buy a crimson sword from Uzgod, on Kazordoon. But he wants you to buy it for 400 gps or less, and it must not be cheap, the quality must be perfect.

Go to Kazordoon and find Uzgod, the weapon dealer. After you ask him for a crimson sword, he'll say he doesn't have any to sell. Ask him to forge one for you. He'll ask if you are joking with him, answer no. He'll set a high price, and ask you if you accept. You want it for 400 gps or less, so answer no. He'll offer you a cheap sword for 300 gps. Remember that you must not buy a cheap one, so answer no again. He'll ask you to give him 3 iron ores and 250 gps for a good crimson sword. Now you can answer yes. Take back the sword to Rashid while he's on Darashia. Now wait until tomorrow to proceed.

Sixth Mission, Saturday

Rashid will be in Edron on Saturdays, in Mirabell's tavern, above Edron depot.

This mission can be pretty easy. He'll just ask you for a goldfish bowl with a fish inside. You can do this before you talk to him, so you can just deliver it. If you do not have one, you can buy an empty bowl on any furniture NPC. After that you must go to Calassa and get a goldfish inside your bowl. If you cannot enter Calassa you can ask a friend to get it to you, or buy from another player.

Just talk to Rashid, and he'll ask for the goldfish. Deliver it to him, and wait until tomorrow to finish this quest.

Final Mission, Sunday

Rashid will be in the Carlin depot on Sundays, one floor above.

This mission is very easy. If you've done all his previous tasks, just ask him 'mission', and he'll declare you as one of his recognized traders, and you'll be able to trade with him anytime.

The first thing you need to do is go to the Prison in Mintwallin and talk to A Prisoner, to get the key to his room, you need to go to the barracks, south of Markwin. You then need to give 7 apples to A Prisoner to change them for the key to the quest room.

Tell him "PD-D-KS-P-PD". This is the answer to a riddle that is in a book in the mad mage room. You receive silver key #3666.

This is the path to the Mad Mage room from the surface. You will walk past this room on your way to Mintwallin.
Go to the Ancient Temple, north of Thais (here).
Go down two levels, and head as far north as you can go.
Go down to the level with the Rotworms.
Follow this path to the east and south, and go down the ladder:

On this level, there will be a lot of Poison Fields. You can either run through them and then use Antidote, or you can use Destroy Field to clear a path.
Go down another level.
Follow this path to the east and north. Be careful of Minotaurs. Go down the hole that is circled on the map. You will face a couple Cyclopes down this hole:

Head south down the left most passage. Go up the hole to a small room and up again to another room. Here go to the end of this passage and down the hole to a small room and down again:

Head south then west then north then take a right heading towards the level door.

Head down the stairs BUT BEWARE!!!! There is at least one dragon, one giant spider, one beholder, multiple demon skeletons, one ghoul, one scorpion, and one skeleton. After clearing this room head to the southeast and through the locked door, using a key taken from A Prisoner.

Once you are through the door, go up the ladder and face 2 or more Demon Skeletons. The rewards are in chests in this room.

The Djinn War - Efreet Faction/Spoiler

Be prepared to face: Blue Djinns, Marids, Orc Warlords, Orc Leaders, Fire Elementals, Orc Berserkers, Stone Golems, Scarabs and Orc Warriors. Also minor creatures like Scorpions, minor Orcs and Hyaenas in the path.

[edit] Introduction

There are two warring Djinn factions, the Blue Djinns (Marids) the Green Djinns (Efreets). As part of their war, they are intereseted in buying and selling strong equipment for good prices, but they will only deal with people that they trust. You must prove your allegance to only one Djinn faction (they buy/sell different items). Once the Djinns trust you, they will buy/sell equipment with you.

[edit] Mission 1 - The Thief

Wandering the streets in Ankrahmun is a man named Melchior. Talk to him, and he can tell you about his time with the Djinns. Ask him about the "Word of Greeting", and he will tell you that Djinns always greet eachother with the word "DJANNI'HAH". You can now enter the Djinn Fortress.

Go to the Green Djinn fortress. First, go up the ramp west of the oasis (here), and follow the path to the west.

In the Green Djinn fortress, talk to Ubaid. Say the word of greeting "DJANNI'HAH" instead of "hi". When he asks what you are doing there, ask for "passage". When he tells you to leave, say "no" and he will ask if you want to join their fight. Say "yes" and he will tell you to talk to Baa'leal for a mission.

When you ask Baa'leal for a "mission", he will tell you to find the supply thief in Carlin. Warning: Remember to use DJANNI'HAH or he will set you on fire forever and you will need to go to a temple to get healed.

Go to Carlin, and talk to the sheriff Shauna (here). Ask her about the Water Pipe that is in one of the cells. Then ask about the prisoner. She will tell you a nice story and send you to Thais.

Go to the prison in Thais (downstairs here), and find the NPC locked in a cell underground. When you find the prisoner, talk to him about "Ankrahmun", and ask him about the "supplies". Remember the prisoner's name, you will need to know it later. (Partos, is his name)

Return to Baa'leal in the Green Djinn fortress and tell him you have completed the "mission", then tell him the prisoner's name. He will give you 600 gp and tell you to speak with Alesar about another mission.

[edit] Mission 2 - The Invasion

Talk to Alesar and ask for a "mission". He will tell you that he wants the gemstone called the Tear of Daraman, and that the Blue Djinns have one. Of course, he wants you to steal it and bring it back to him.

Go to the secret entrance to the Blue Djinn fortress. Take the ramp between Ankrahmun and Darashia (here). Instead of going north towards Darashia, follow the passage west, and take the hidden ramp to the south:

Once down the ramp, you will face one or more Stone Golems. Continue south to the secret entrance to the Blue Djinn Fortress.

Continue going up the stairs to the 4th floor. One floor above the Fire Elementals. Look for two fountains on the east side of the room. On your way up, you will face an increasing number of Blue Djinns, Marids, and even some Fire Elementals, and Scarabs. Bring a couple Dwarven Rings, and some good shooters and blockers to help you.

Warning!: On 3rd floor, you may face up to 5 Blue Djinns, 1 Marid, 4 Fire Elementals and 2 Scarabs right after going upstairs to the 3rd floor!

When you find the two fountains, "use" the one to the north. There will be ripples in the water, and a Tear of Daraman will appear on the floor beneath you.

Make your way back to Alesar and tell him you have completed the mission and give him the Tear of Daraman. He will then tell you to speak with Malor for another mission.

[edit] Mission 3 - Orc Fortress

Go upstairs and talk to Malor and ask for a "mission" and he will tell you to retrieve a lamp from the Orc King in Ulderek's Rock.

Go to Ulderek's Rock (the Orc Fortress), and speak with the king (when you say "hi" he will spawn a lot of different kinds of Orcs, so be ready). Ask him for the "lamp", and tell him it is for "Malor".

When you get the lamp, you will need to sneak into the Blue Djinn fortress, and place it in Gabel's personal bedchamber. Go to the secret entrance to the Blue Djinn fortress, and take the stairs all the way to the top. You will have to face MANY Blue Djinns, Marids, Scarabs and Fire Elementals. Bring plenty of Dwarven Rings, and a good team to help you.

When you find Gabel's bedchamber, "use" the lamp you have on the lamp next to his bed.

Return to Malor in the Green Djinn fortress and tell him that you have completed the "mission". You will now be able to buy and sell good equipment with the Green Djinns.
